William kickstarted the discussion with a brief introduction of AMTD Digital, the digital arm of AMTD Group, followed by Johnson and Rahul’s briefing what roles they are playing in the technology-driven capital markets, and what benefits they can bring to investors and issuers.

CapBridge is Singapore’s leading integrated private market ecosystem and owns Singapore’s first regulated securities exchange for private companies 1exchange (“1X”). It holds a Capital Markets Services licence and a Recognised Market Operator licence. Johnson summarized that CapBridge’s vision is to provide a FIT – Fractionalised, Interchangeable, Tradable – solution for the private markets. In particular, Johnson mentioned that as a subsidiary of AMTD Digital, CapBridge will better address diversified customers and wider markets, and work closer with more financial institutions to bring more synergies as the key ecosystem partner in the AMTD SpriderNet.

In addition, Rahul introduced that BondbloX Bond Exchange (“BBX”), the world’s first blockchain-based exchange, allows investors to trade bonds in smaller denomination of US$1,000. Rahul highlighted that blockchain technology enables electronic transactions to be highly transparent and cost-efficient.
